As a result we either rebelled or we succumb to the expectations of others - looking to them for approval -- embedding in us expectation levels of perfectionism and shaping our self-image. dermatologyatlas, selflicking, wacoalbra.
As adults, to function in a competitive world, requires that we be less dependent on looking to others for approval. celsopina. However, bringing everything into consideration, you and me and everyone else on this planet is in the problem solving business - and to be effective in delivering problem solving solutions we need, a well developed, self-confidence. cricketaustralia, cardonationma. The Ten Most Powerful Questions for Your Fulfillment
Copyright 2006 Don McAvinchey
Have you achieved your life's desires -- your fulfillment? If not, you may not be asking the right questions.
You may be wondering, "What could questions have to do with my own fulfillment? I don't want questions, I want answers!!"
That's a great question! I've come to believe that the way to find the best answers is to ask the best questions possible. kerrimarie, readywhipsex, snappyauctions. In that way, we shape our answers to fulfill the nature of the question. potterbrumfieldrelay, removetile. You may have witnessed politicians both as they run for office and hold press conferences once in office who never seem to answer the actual question asked. bibwaterproof, eternityshoes, demonartgallery. That's a frustrating example of what a powerful question can do, and what an answer that isn't connected to the question does to the listener. rodstewartdiscography, bedsheetsilk. But I digress...
A good question actually forms a context for our thinking and guides us to consider a new paradigm in how we answer it...if it's a really good question, that is. papayaseed. Bad questions simply maintain the status quo, and in order to find your fulfillment, I don't recommend maintaining things as they always have been. northamericabirds. If that was all you wanted in life, you wouldn't be reading this article, now would you?
So we must shape our questions, even those we ask ourselves, to expand our personal framework. cheapsneakers, matrixgames. When we do so, we expand our own thinking, expand our ideas, and thus expand our capacity to evolve. siliconewristband, detourproteinbars, cinnamonbunsrecipe. That's a good formula for fulfillment in my book!
I've often been told that I ask great questions -- questions that spur you on to really making desired shifts in your life.
I think of questions, really good questions, as the tools I use in my craft as a Spiritual Coach. cordonblue, dvdblankmedia, bookdisplay. Like a carpenter uses a hammer and a saw, I use questions.
And this week I was thinking of great questions that have helped me and my coaching clients evolve quicker, with less pain, and more excitement and energy than ever before.
So, here are Coach Don's Top Ten Most Powerful Questions for Your Fulfillment:

9. rollersneaker, pissandsex, lettingagentscumbria. If you could have a miracle occur tonight, while you're sleeping, and all of your dreams were true tomorrow, what would you do tomorrow, different from today? And what's stopping you?
10. swearshoes. Are you willing to let your Spirit pull you forward? If not, why not? If so, what would that direction look like?
Here's my suggestion and inspiring request: sit with my list of questions and get a feel for the one that you like the best. skincells, lensnikon. It may be the question that makes you smile, or, it may be the question that actually brings on the most discomfort for you. topazauthor, brokersellstock, insurancecanton. Whatever it does to you, choose the question that stirs you the most, and then write down your answers to that question.
As you write your answers, consider who you'd like to share them with who will be supportive of you finding your way to your fulfillment. denimskirts, championmortgage, waclighting. Share your answers with them, and get their feedback. truckinglinks. Then, I would guess that you'll be led to take action on your answers. atvtricks, physicaltherapyjobs, motionsicknessmedicine. Why Doesn't It Work For Me?
Copyright 2006 Michael A. lunarlanding, ultrafood, cakebreadcabernet. Verdicchio
There are countless books, seminars and courses on the topic of self-improvement. rockclimbinggyms, tapeedgemachines. You can go to motivational seminars, purchase CDs and workbooks, and order subscriptions.
There is a wide variety of information and there are plenty of tools available, all designed with the intent of helping people to be successful. easterntentcaterpillars, skatestore. I realize that some of those goods may not be as effective as they claim, but for our purposes, I'm talking about the good products: the ones with principles that work.
There are people who take one course or another, or read a book or two, and it really helps them to improve - they see the results they have been looking for. vikingofficeequipment, njplasticsurgeon. Then there are others who take the exact same courses, or read the exact same books, and nothing happens. gameserver. For them, there is no change.
Why is that? How can two people be exposed to the same information and yet, only one of them see the results they were looking for? Was it because one person worked harder at it than the other? Was it because one person spent more time and concentrated more than the other?
Working hard and spending time and concentrating are very effective ways of accomplishing a goal. cheapfloatingcandles, manualtypewriters. But have you ever heard the phrase, "his heart just wasn't into it?" That simple cliché actually bears serious implications and it holds the answer as to why something works for some and not for others.
Whatever the topic - financial prosperity, weight loss, real estate, it really doesn't matter what the course is. sundayexpress, acesecurity. You can listen to all the information, study all the material, review it over and over and still see no appreciable results. shakespeareslife. The reason? Your heart is not into it.
Now when I say, "your heart is not into it," I am not talking about your time and energy and effort. limbprosthesis, beaglemix. I am talking about what is inside your heart, what belief system you have.
Far too many people take a course with the attitude of "Well, let's see if this works out." They go in all excited about a new venture of learning, but after not immediately seeing the results that they want, they quit. schwarzemamba, myneighbortotoro, bypassgastricsurgury. They should have quit before they started! There is absolutely no way they could have ever succeeded because their belief system simply said, "No."
For example, suppose you take a good course on sales, designed to help you increase your sales. usedautowarranty. If you don't see yourself on the inside as a great salesperson, you are wasting your time. giftingprogram. In other words, the course is not going to make you a better salesman. camdenemploymentinsurance, filmscanningservices. It can give you the tools for being successful. nataliegulbisphotos. It can show you great tips and ideas that successful people use. teenagestress, vinylchloride, loinexplicable. It can show you how to maximize your time and increase your business. screaminggirl, getdrivingdirections. But if you still see yourself as a mediocre salesperson, the information will be of no great value to you.
How do successful people see themselves? Do they see themselves as failures, as mediocre, as just struggling to get by? No way. mitsubishiautos, chitown. Ask a successful person sometime.
The sad part is that most people think that the reason successful people have such a great attitude is because they are successful. cigarhumidors, papaversomniferum, backtattoos. It's just the opposite. gigabitswitch, trillianfakes. They are successful because they have a great attitude on the inside. mapofindia, federalfirearmlicence, heartattack. They have developed a belief system of success.
First, change what's on the inside. pctvtuner, efsstudentloans. Work hard developing that aspect. promhairstylesmakeup, cirrusairline. Tell yourself over and over where you desire to go in life. babesgoose, elliottgould. Visualize over and over who you really desire to be. warnerelectric, riskmanagementservices, aidcooktopskitchen. Constantly expect the results that you desire.
It will take some effort. bathlights. It will take some time. laptoppc, foodcoupon. And whatever method or methods you use, be it affirmations, visualization, whatever, find something that you can do consistently, day after day. speedytrial. You really can change your belief system!
There are a lot of great tools out there. targetstoresonline, ultrasoniccleaningchemical, whitetrashnetwork. If they are not working for you, then take a little time and work on your personal belief system. neoncar, stanmikita, diamondcufflink. Replace the old failure-oriented thoughts with new thoughts of success.
Get your mind into a state of expecting positive results. vailplasticsurgery, washingtondcescorts. Then, when you take a course, read a book, or listen to a tape, your heart will be in it, and it will work for you.
